A couple of girls came across a motionless dog under a bridge who was just skin and bones, and they couldn’t believe their eyes. They knew they had to help and got a cart with some blankets to help transport him. They got the poor boy over to the Animal Haven shelter in New York where he seemed to know these people were there for him.
Despite whatever neglect and abuse he suffered in the past, Timmie was so friendly and trusting! Once inside the building, they were surprised to see him stand up and walk around a little. After feeding him a little, they rushed him to the emergency vet.
He’d have to stay at the vet for 36 days where he slowly but surely put on some weight and became healthy enough to be fostered. And that’s where Allison comes into the story! She never meant to keep him forever, but the two bonded right away. Timmie wouldn’t leave her side! It ended up a “foster failure,” and you’ll want to see how good the dog looks now in his forever home. 🙂
