Along a gravel road in Indian River County in Florida, a crate full of 26 dogs was found wired shut so that the dogs had no way of escape. The good Samaritan called 911, and the dogs were transferred to the Humane Society where they were found to be lethargic and dehydrated.
Authorities are investigating and searching for the people responsible. It’s thought that the dogs are part of a backyard breeding operation, so any information on that would be helpful to the case. All 26 dogs are expected to make full recoveries and eventually be put up for adoption.
