Just as a school custodian was about to empty out a trash can, he noticed a furry little family inside. The homeless mama had crawled inside for a safe place to give birth to her little ones, but they were almost thrown out! Hope For Paws arrived on scene for rescue…
Rescuers had the custodian open the door to one of the classrooms to have an area they could block off. They kept the lid on while setting up a crate and then lowered the trash can down to the opening as slowly as possible to not hurt the animals inside. Mrs. Brisby saw the light and went right toward the trap! And soon, her kittens were placed inside with her. 🙂
The family received their checkups at CARES before heading on to Let Them Be Little to be fostered. It won’t be long until Mrs. Brisby, Teresa, Cynthia, and Martin find their forever homes!
