Hope Lives Here Animal Rescue received a photo of a dirty dog that was dragging its hind legs around in gravel. It was obviously in need of urgent help, but the dog was located more than five hours away from them.
“As soon as we saw it, it was important that we try to help as much as possible,” said Jessica Nagorski, the founder of Hope Lives Here. “We quickly called a foster home and had someone go and look for the dog. But it wasn’t found that night.”
The photo was posted to Hope Lives Here Animal Rescue’s Facebook page which has more than 3,100 followers.
“We have thousands of supporters on our page and once the word got out that this dog was in need, we had people offering to go and get the dog all the way from Calgary,” said Nagorski.

Although she’s not quite ready for adoption, her Facebook friends keep asking when she’ll be ready to move to a forever home. Her foster person is keeping everyone up to date on her progress.
