George found these baby squirrels without a mom and decided to try and save them. On November 13, 2014, George and his wife took Freddie and Ginger to the Squirrel Creek Wildlife Rescue. By that point, they’d dedicated more than 70 days to the rehabilitation of the baby squirrels!
“I was working on a traffic light pole in Denver Colorado 8-28-2013 when these two baby squirrels nest got destroyed in the pole and they fell out at the bottom. I brought them home to try and save them. At the time, I thought they were a few weeks old. I found out the next day that they were only a few days old. In the following days I found a ton of information and websites to help figure out what to do next. Our goal is to give them a fighting chance. Not to keep them as pets. Hopefully this video documentation can help others. Today Patty will feed them her way.” – George Holt
