B.B. was one of nearly 130 animals rescued from a puppy mill in Cabarrus County, North Carolina, by The Humane Society of the United States’ Animal Rescue Team. She got to see the sun for the first time, and it was a wonderful moment.
“It’s been years since her rescue and B.B. is still dealing with long-term, and some life-long, effects of living a life as a breeding machine for the puppy mill industry. Luckily, she has Brenda, who has provided a lot of love and patience to bring B.B. into a world where she can just be a dog and enjoy all that life entails. And when Brenda’s health declined, B.B. was right there to pay forward the love and dedication granted her since her rescue.”
