The Rescue Of A Horse That Fell Into A Well Will Have You On The Edge Of Your Seat
The Leicestershire Fire And Rescue Service posted about a rescue of a horse that fell into a well. It was one of the craziest things they’ve ever seen. But that didn’t stop them from coming up with a genius plan.
Foxy is a beautiful horse owned by Amy Badge. While she is away at college, Foxy is cared for at a local stable.
But one day, Foxy fell backwards into an open well.
The fire and rescue team rushed to the scene to try and save the horse.
They could only see half of Foxy, as her other half was submerged in water.
They had never seen anything like it. This rescue would be a first for them.
They weren’t exactly sure how to go about saving her.

They threw around ideas until they decided to use a harness that hooks under her front legs.
Normally used for dragging trapped horses on flat ground, they would have to use the harness with a mechanical digger to lift her up.
After lots of thinking and lots of work, Foxy was finally freed.
An animal rescue team was on site to look over the horse and immediately take her to the animal hospital.
Amazingly, Foxy only suffered a few minor injuries to her leg.
Amy was notified after taking her finals. Her dad didn’t want to interrupt her studies.
But it was a happy ending thanks to all of the brave people that assisted along the way.
Wow! What an amazing effort by some amazing people. Thanks to them, Foxy and Amy have a beautiful future ahead. Share this incredible rescue using the button below.
