This Puppy Was Too Scared To Let Rescuers Touch Her. But Then This Happened.
Hope For Paws is back with another incredible rescue story, this time in picture form. They responded to a call about a scared puppy living behind a dumpster thinking this rescue would be a “piece of cake” but soon learned otherwise.
These pictures were uploaded to Flickr captioned with Eldad Hagar’s own words.
“This little puppy was hiding behind a dumpster… terrified of humans!!! She growled and snarled, and warned Lisa Chiarelli & I to stay back and leave her alone.”
“Lisa Chiarelli approached from the top, but Ginnie was not ready to surrender… she barked and made this rescue challenging.”
“Ginnie wouldn’t surrender, so we backed down for a second, made sure the area was enclosed so she couldn’t escape, and tried to re-negotiate with her.”
“Once Lisa got the leash on her, Ginnie freaked out… she cried, screamed, peed out of fear, and I was amazed that none of the neighbors around didn’t even bother to look out the window to see what’s happening to the animal that was clearly in distress.”
“Thanks to the Disney Blanketeers, our Hope For Paws rescue vehicle is now equipped with beautiful blankets that help us wrap these scared dogs & make them feel safe :-)”

“First I took Ginnie to a relaxing room at the hospital so we can start the bonding process.”
“Stephanie always helps calm the dogs and cats down :-)”
“Welcome to being a real pet, and getting a bath is an important part of it :-)”
“Stephanie held little Ginnie like a baby, and Ginnie was just too tired to fight, and it was a good thing… it gave us an opportunity to work with her.”
“After Hope For Paws completed the rescue and medical part, Ginnie continued to Doggies 911 who will handle her adoption.”
“All Ginnie wants for the holidays is a loving forever home :-)”
They also shared this info about the loving pup:
“Ginnie is living with Masumi Hara – the trainer for Doggies 911, and even though she is still a little scared, she is getting better and better every day.
Whoever adopts her will have to continue working with her, loving her, hugging her and teaching her the joys of life.”
