This Baby Horse Lost Her Mom, But Wait Till You See Who Steps In…
One day after Legacy’s birth, her mother passed away. The owner of the farm was understandably heartbroken. But she had to pull through it and help the orphaned foal.
But she wouldn’t be alone. A goat named Buttercup was brought to the farm to provide milk for Legacy.
But Buttercup took it a step further and adopted the foal as her own! She nursed Legacy and provided love and affection.
They were originally afraid Legacy wouldn’t make it past her first week. But thanks to Buttercup, she’s growing stronger every day!

“Buttercup protects her, loves her, and plays with her,” Welsh says. “We owe her life to Buttercup, and we thank her every day.”

And now Legacy has a foal friend named Rock just to have another horse to be around. “Legacy is learning how to be a horse,” Welsh jokes.
