A collision on Quebec highway resulted in what they are calling the “Miracle Moose.”
The car hit a moose, killing her but ejecting her yet unborn calf onto the pavement. The baby was found under the vehicle and still in the gestational sac.
Witnesses covered it in a blanket and the local zoo came to pick up the newborn.
Driving the car was a man with his two children. “The car was wrecked but the occupants were not injured,” Sûreté du Québec Sgt. Jean Tremblay told the Montreal Gazette.
A Miracle Moose indeed.
