An anonymous tip was called in to the Cabarrus County Sheriff’s Office in North Carolina leading to the rescue of 140+ animals at a puppy mill. Once it was determined that further action was necessary, the Humane Society was contacted to help rescue the dogs.
When they arrived on the property, rescuers discovered the animals living in terrible, unsanitary conditions. The neglected dogs were pulled from their rusty cages and transported to a temporary emergency shelter where they will receive the care they need.
