You Wouldn’t Know It From The Picture, But This Dog’s In The Shelter
A shelter in Ohio found a way to make dogs more comfortable while waiting for a forever home. They created a “Real Life Room” where the dogs can step away from their cramped kennels for a bit and get a taste of a normal life.
The Toledo Area Humane Society took an office and turned it into a living room with a recliner, a rug, pillows, a TV, and a lamp.
Not only does it give the dogs a nice break from the kennel life, it helps bring out a dog’s true personality. And that goes a long way in helping the dog to get a forever home.

The dogs take turns going into the room to relax in the comforting environment. In the short time the Real Life Room has been around, it’s already being credited with helping dogs find their forever homes.
It’s truly a unique and amazing concept that is hopefully picked up by shelters everywhere. 🙂
How amazing is this? 😊
