A couple sets of eyes and noses noticed a tiny creature in the dirt, and it was hard to tell what it even was at first. But thanks to these dogs’ gentle demeanors, it was now safe and sound. The little guy turned out to be a baby feathertail glider, native to eastern Australia.
They’re the smallest gliding mammal in existence, and this one must’ve fallen out of its mother’s pouch. It’s so lucky that it didn’t get completely overlooked or trampled on the ground! Leave it to man’s best friend to be loving and caring enough to save such a fragile life. 🙂
