A missing dog was returned to his owner after he was stolen out of their parked car. The 7NEWS crew was out filming the scene when they spotted the 13-month-old German Short Haired Pointer and stopped the man. The suspect, 29-year-old Kyle Gariepy, says it was all a misunderstanding and that he thought he was supposed to be walking the dog.
“He was just barking in the car and I walked past the car and I thought it was supposed to be a dog I was dog walking,” Gariepy told WHDH. “It wasn’t a kidnapping it was just a simple mistake.”
Titus’ owner, Greg Siesczkiewicz, says the man never called him even though his number is on the dog’s tag. He’s happy to have his dog back and that it was a fast reunion, but he plans on microchipping Titus in the near future to avoid losing him again.
