The Trio Animal Foundation assists shelters and rescues by paying medical bills of homeless pets. Here, you will see the amazing work and results of this organization and what it does for the lives of these future pets.
In 4 months, Eugene put on 40 lbs and can stand upright – something they said he would never be able to do.
Trio was only 4 weeks old when used as bait in a dog fight. She had her back leg bitten off.
Trio only had a 10% chance of survival but overcame the odds. She was adopted by Sue, the founder of the Trio Animal Foundation. She cared for other foster dogs that passed through the house for 10 years until passing.
Hippo was found with a terrible case of mange, her ears had been cut and she had a respiratory infection.
But look at Hippo now! 🙂
Hudson was found walking the streets of Chicago covered in blood.
But with lots of love and care, Hudson made an amazing transformation. Here he is pictured with his foster parents.
Eleanor was found in a trash can underweight and dehydrated. But she has a forever home now.
Mocha was found tied to a fence with a note attached to her collar that read “Mocha = can’t afford.” She will always have the scars on her back but they are healing nicely while with a family that loves her.
Squish was rotting away in the corner of her shelter cage when noticed by TAF. With the help of Project Rescue Chicago, they got her the medical attention she needed and saved her life.
It wasn’t looking good for this older, matted dog. The old age and leg injury would make leaving the shelter difficult. But funds were raised by TAF & Project Rescue Chicago to get the word out about him. Now he’s in a loving home.
Mistletoe was found abandoned with a severe eye infection. She went to a foster home while receiving all the care she needed. A friend of the foster family thought Mistletoe was perfect and took her in. 🙂
Puggy was found in about the worst physical condition possible. They realized he had heart worms and possibly even a cancerous tumor. He was adopted by a family thinking maybe they could at least prolong his life by a couple of months. But the tumor ended up being benign and the vets were able to get rid of the heart worms. Amazing!
Birdie had such a bad case of mange that she was swollen from head to toe. After a month of treatments, you can hardly tell anything was ever wrong with her.
Filly was full of fear and scared of everyone when found. She was also extremely underweight. But after 2.5 months of rehab, Filly found a loving owner.
After Trio passed, Sue wanted to save another dog. Bluebelle had a badly injured back leg that would have been amputated if she wasn’t so emaciated. While recovering, Bluebell’s leg miraculously started healing and she was able to keep it. She now serves as a memory of the three-legged dog that was such an inspiration for the Trio Animal Foundation.
Seeing these after pics put such a smile on my face. Organizations like this are absolutely priceless and deserve all the recognition they can get. Make sure to share this and check out the links below.
